Once you were h...Chuck had vast network of friends. Once you were his friend it was forever. He had his land line and answering machine as his most trusty way staying in communication as he didn't likesovial media much.No Facebook account etc... but staying at Chucks place for 2 or 3 days usually meant I was going to end up meeting Noam Chompsky to Gibby Haines. I always feel lucky to have been friends with Chuck for soo many long years. If I needed anything for a few days, ie a guitar or a place to crash he always made sure I was covered. We were going to go to northern Afghanistan together and I would have been in that book he was writing. See you down that long and winding road. Our usual routine will commence at one of those bends.
